Breathe on me, Breath of God
With beautiful flowing lines of sound, “Breathe on me, Breath of God” brings new energy to this text of an old Protestant gospel song. It is penned in two keys C as well as Bb for those sopranos who find a high A to be a bit too challenging on Sunday morning.
This would be quite beautiful as the anthem for The Baptism of our Lord, Pentecost, any baptismal or confirmation service, ordinations, weddings or committal ceremonies of various types. It also makes a nice repertoire piece for general use throughout the year.
