Christ, obedient to the Father, died for us
The cello lends itself well to contemplative and penitential liturgical music. It is used in this paraphrase of the Christus factus est text. This short but beautiful anthem is suitable for the Liturgy of the Passion and (Years A, B & C) and Proper 21 of Pentecost in Year A. It is also a solid anthem for Lent and during the Eucharist.
