Voluntary in G minor
Lent is a time for recognizing our regret for our wrongdoings and asking for forgiveness. This rework of an earlier G minor voluntary suggests a pleading for mercy and forgiveness - a longing for redemption. Of course, this piece is perfectly usable throughout the liturgical year when a desire for mercy and forgiveness is appropriate.
It is a relatively easy piece, technically, that has a somewhat profound nature to its sound.
